Support Worker
Overview
Mencap are currently recruiting Support Workers to join our team in Plymouth to support adults with a learning disability to live independently in their own homes and in the community. The work will involve offering daily support to adults with a learning disability and their pets (cat) and can include support with shopping, budgeting, decision making, inclusion in the community and support with general day to day activities. This role will suit an outgoing person who is committed to supporting and encouraging people to achieve their best. You should be motivated to look for opportunities and ways of working with people which can give new experiences and introduce them to new things. The shifts available will include some sleep-ins, evenings and weekends.
