Overview

Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire Days & Hours: Bank hours to include Evenings, Weekends and School Holidays – typical shifts could be Evenings 4pm – 8pm, Weekends 12pm – 7pm or 2pm – 9pm, School Holidays could be 9.30am – 6pm – to work flexibly along with covering for other staff absences. Pay: £10.50 per hour Monday to Saturday 8am – 8pm, £11.50 per hour Monday to Friday after 8pm, £11.50 per hour Sundays Driver required? Essential (will need own car to get to work) Driving Clients Car? No Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, On duty and to attend training Essential Experience: Working with children with disabilities. Desirable: Experience working with children with trauma and an interest in therapy Pets: dog, Guinea pigs Interviews Week Commencing: As and when applications are received, in light of the government guidance these are likely to be held as telephone or video interviews Start Date: ASAP or date (subject to satisfactory employment checks) Sabrina is 13 and lives with her parents and twin sister. She has a very kind and caring nature and always tries her best. Family and friends are very important to her and loves family holidays. She enjoys going to gym club and has an interest in hair and make-up. Her phone is also important to her, but she can become addicted, so participating in other activities is encouraged, she really enjoys arts and crafts, dance and swimming. Sabrina suffered hypoxic brain injury at birth and suffers with anxiety and behavioural issues, which she is learning techniques to manage this . She has difficulty with her mobility and when out and about and will try to walk but does get tired and will use her wheelchair for longer distances. Sabrina requires help with planning and organising things and uses her mobile phone to set reminders. To help Sabrina in the wider community to access clubs and activities and ensure her safety at all times. To assist with personal care and personal needs alongside mealtimes, including cutting up food and opening packets and promoting her independence wherever possible. You will be supported by family members and a team of therapists. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to join a dedicated home care team and develop existing skills and support this very special young lady.
