Accountant - Part Time

Part Time Accountant Our retained client Rosewood Homes are looking for a part time Accountant for their offices in Livingston. Hours are flexible and can be either 2 or 3 days a week, ideally 10am-3pm. This is to be initially a 3 month contract but it has the potential to possibly be extended beyond this. Applications are sought from experienced Accountants who looking for flexibility and an enjoyable work environment. Experience within a homebuilder, construction or similar environment would also be very desirable but this is not entirely essential. There is also support provided from an accounts assistant and an administrative assistant. Main duties will include: • Reviewing (or preparing as necessary) monthly management accounts • Reviewing (or preparing as necessary) all HMRC returns (VAT, CIS, EC Sales List, etc.) • Reviewing (or preparing as necessary) cash flow forecasts • Preparing other ad-hoc external returns (CITB, HSF, etc.) • Reviewing and posting purchase invoices • Preparation of the company’s cash position and loan summary • Preparing (including reconciling historical and forecasting future) project costs; and developing recovery action plans • Reviewing, approving and releasing daily bank payments Required competencies: • Advanced Excel skills • Experience of Microsoft Navision preferred, but not essential • Qualified (or qualified by experience) Competitive pay offered and would be depending on skills, experience and relevance.
