Overview

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the Home and in particular in the Manager’s absence. SHIFTS: AM/PM AND WEEKEND DUTIES Shifts are 0700-1400 and 1400-2100 Duties include: - Ensuring the work routine is adhered to by active participation and delegation to other care assistants and to supervise and monitor staff to achieve best outcomes. - To ensure that all service users are safe and given the care necessary according to their individual care plans. -Updating individual care plans as appropriate. - Dealing with emergency situations. - Administering medication as prescribed by GP or any specialist doctor and following procedures for administration, ordering, checking in, storing and returns of medication. - To ensure all meals are served on time, in adequate portions and to the satisfaction of service users, giving choice. Candidate Specification: The desire to work with all people, irrespective of background, race or creed. Good communication skills. Good listening skills. Physically able to lift patients. A tactful and approachable personality.
