Tax Manager £65,000 Guildford My client is a multi-national software/IT company based near Guildford and are looking for a Tax Manager. Requirements: Reporting to the Head of Tax and working with the wider tax team, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities Preparation of group company year-end tax models and significant contributions to the preparation of the subgroup consolidated tax provision Preparation of IFRS tax disclosures for financial statements and ensuring individual group entity taxes are accounted for correctly Ownership of the tax compliance affairs of various group entities including UK corporation tax returns, R&D claims and associated tax compliance requirements UK VAT, EC sales and associated indirect tax compliance requirements Working with overseas advisors and internal local finance teams to ensure local corporate tax compliance requirements are met and applied consistently across the group Responding to ad hoc tax queries Preparation of analysis and reports for the wider tax team and other stakeholders within the business. Involvement in group wide UK tax projects and providing ad hoc support and advice on UK tax matters Education and expertise: ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified 1 or 2 degree in any field preferred 4 years of tax experience Strong tax compliance experience gained from a significant accountancy practice Solid grounding in UK corporation tax and tax accounting Experience of managing the tax affairs of large complex groups IFRS accounting knowledge The ability to use Alphatax is preferred
