Due to recent significant contract successes, our client are looking to expand their engineering team. This is a great opportunity for engineers of all levels, with a passion for civil and structural engineering design to join a engineering team in Cumbria. You will bring with you a suitable level of technical expertise, management and commercial experience and engineering knowledge, and the desire and ability to continually enhance service offering to new and existing clients. You will play an active role in providing all kinds of engineering solutions to technically complex problems across a broad range of projects in numerous industry sectors, from private residential and commercial developments to large complex engineering challenges in nuclear decommissioning. Your Role We are looking for ambitious and experienced engineers with sound knowledge and experience of civil and structural engineering who would like to join a dynamic team. You will be involved in the technical aspects of projects, as part of or leading small teams and deliver innovative design solutions from inception through to the production of detailed construction information in accordance with industry procedures to satisfy or exceed client requirements. It will include new build and refurbishment projects in a variety of sectors. You will work closely with Project Managers, other members of the team, and the wider national engineering team to ensure that each project is delivered successfully. About You A chartered, or near chartered engineer with strong technical knowledge and experience of delivering civil and structural engineering projects and of managing these to meet deadlines. Ideally, you will have an understanding of, and experience in, the civil nuclear industry, and are looking to continue working in the environment. Able to understand and operate within management systems for quality, financial and project controls and have good commercial management experience and knowledge of change control. A keen, progressive, versatile individual, willing to go the extra mile to ensure work is delivered correctly, accurately and on time even if it includes, on occasion, working outside of normal office hours.
