My client, a well-established Private school with notable alumni is seeking a strong Information Services Officer (Data & Management Information) to join their growing and exciting team. Overview The Information Services Officer is responsible for administering the schools Management Information Systems including iSAMS and various bespoke third-party software solutions, to enable the smooth and effective running of the school through provision of high quality and timely data and information. Duties and Responsibilities To ensure the Schools’ Management Information Systems (MIS) are fully functional at all times and report any failures to the Head of Information Services & Development. Firstline support for third-party systems, ensuring they are accurate up to date. Undertake all necessary preparatory works and provision of the system for each academic year, to include the importing of new users, timetable, class lists, groups etc. for academic and activity use. Undertake all revisions of data such as timetable changes. To be the first point of contact for MIS queries by staff and parents. To create and produce accurate management reports and statistics from the systems as required. Maintenance of the MIS & third-party systems to ensure that all data is accurate, up to date and available users as necessary. Attend training and participate in independent learning as required to keep apprised of any changes and upcoming developments to the MIS and other systems and disseminate to staff as needed. Liaise with parents in their use of the parent portal and associated systems. Monitoring incoming IS support queries and responding as necessary. Support the schools’ academic reporting schedule preparing templates and report cycles as needed. Provide technical support during the exam results publication periods Monitor completion of data entry stages by all relevant participants, undertake any necessary amendments of report data and provide pupil tracking data as required. Manage and run basic SQL, SSRS reports as required by the school’s management team, working closely with the systems developers to support the development of more complex reports. Work with the Exams officer to ensure the smooth management of pupil information during peak exam times and result periods. Oversee the attendance data and work with the attendance officer to collate and produce reports in line with the schools requirements. To be involved with project work alongside the wider IS teams and IT Services. Any other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager.
