Part-time female Community Support Worker Service/Location: Aspens - Pembury,Kent TN2 4QU Are you a caring person who is looking for a challenge? Do you want a job where every day is different? We are recruiting a support worker to support adults with autism spectrum disorder and/or learning disabilities to live independently within the community. The areas we cover are Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Highbrooms, Pembury and Rusthall. Our community support workers assist with daily living, which would include correspondence, finances, menu planning, shopping, appointments, day trips and housework. We provide comprehensive training along with a full support structure. The minimum calls with our service users are two hours. Support Worker Requirements Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards the qualification Flexibility to work shifts including weekends Support worker / Carer Experience desirable Access to own transport or willing to use public transport Positive 'can-do' Attitude Friendly, Positive, Calm and Helpful Good problem solving skills Good Sense of Humour Team worker Flexible and Trustworthy Patient and Caring Attitude Good at listening Willing to learn Working every other weekend plus sleep ins Able to work shirt patterns between 07:30am and 10pm, sleep ins 10pm to 07:30am Due to the nature of this role we require a female worker The ideal community support worker should be able to work as part of a team as well as independently, be confident, caring, able to assist with recording finances, medication & writing and recording daily information. Drivers are preferable due to location.
