Overview
HGV Mechanic Our client based near Spalding are currently looking for a HGV Mechanic/Technician to carry out vehicle maintenance/repairs to commercial vehicles/trailers in their busy workshop. Responsibilities: ·Carry out maintenance & repairs of vehicles and trailers ·Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections ·Carry out a wide range of repairs and report defects or impending problems accordingly ·Fault diagnostic and rectification using the latest manufacturers computer systems and tooling ·Complete written reports regarding vehicle condition and service sheets in a timely manner ·Keep tools and equipment in clean working condition ·Maintain safety standards at all times using provided protective equipment Requirements for the role: ·Experience of HGV repairs ·Able to work reliably alone or as a team ·Have a hands on approach with the ability to anticipate problems and provide solutions. ·Able to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level. ·Ideally you will have completed an apprenticeship and have achieved a City and Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering. ·A HGV license is desirable but not essential. ·Logically minded and possess excellent initiative and organisational skills. Hours and pay: ·Weekend Nightshift - Hours negotaible ·£15.30 per hour inc. shift premium ·Training and development provided
