Overview
My client is the leading global manufacturer of cargo handling equipment that is expanding at a rapid rate and can offer fantastic company benefits and long term progression. Due to growth in the local area we are looking for a Field Service Engineer. This role will report to the Regional Service Manager and is covering Scotland - central belt area. Salary £28,000 - £32,000 plus overtime. Realistic earnings of over £40,000 per annum Main tasks and responsibilities: Undertakes servicing of equipment at our customer sites Completes to a high quality standard all service, repair, warranty and inspection jobs allocated daily Builds strong rapport and relationships with customers through professional behaviour and customer focused mindset Responds to routine enquiries from customers about the technical aspects of the organization’s products and services Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction Carry out extensive electrical and mechanical fault find work What you'll need to succeed: As our Field Service Engineer you should have a customer focused approach and be a strong problem solver. You should possess strong communication skills, verbally and written, quality orientated, flexible and adaptable, as well as enthusiastic and self-driven. Ideally you have: Mechanical/Electrical engineering qualifications Experience of heavy plant equipment Experience working with hydraulic systems PLC knowledge or experience Fault finding and diagnostics experience Company benefits: Private Pension 25 days holiday increasing in 5 year increments.
