The Opportunity GP Strategies, are delighted to be supporting John Clark Motor Group with the recruitment and training of an IT Field Engineer Apprentice. This is a full-time role, which would be suitable for candidates with an interest in Hardware Support. Due to the nature of the role, you must be a mature, trustworthy and dependable individual with a Full UK Driving Licence. As well as entering full-time employment with a leading organisation, the successful candidates will be given the chance to earn as they learn; you will undertake an exciting IT Apprenticeship programme that leads to the achievement of a nationally recognised IT Diploma and Microsoft Technical certifications. The Role Full-time; Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours Location; Dundee Starting Salary; £15,000 - £20,000 per year As an IT Field Apprentice, you will be part of and be supported by the IT Service Desk Team who are responsible for responding to and resolving technical issues, of all levels, throughout the organisation. Key Duties and Tasks will include: The successful candidate will be required to travel to sites across Dundee and Central Region, and your main duties will include: Install Hardware and Software, Devices and Applications Test installations of Hardware and Software Carrying out routine maintenance of technical Systems Responding to technical enquiries and issues Logging and updating technical requests Fault finding and troubleshooting A Company Van will be provided The successful candidate will initially go through a 8-12 week internal training programme to ensure you are fully prepared to enter the field and fulfil the above role to the required standard. Full training will be provided in helping support the following technologies: Outlook Email & Exchange Server Antivirus Support, McAfee EPO Server SPAM & Email Filtering (Barracuda & McAfee) Microsoft Server Support & Active Directory Management & Support PC & Laptop Builds Mobile Device Support (IPhones/IPads/IPods/Windows Mobile) Vehicle Manufacturer Diagnostic Systems and Software Automated Software Deployment Tools WiFi Systems & Technology Digital Showroom Systems The Candidate Key Requirements & Skills: Full UK Driving Licence Experience within a customer service role would be a benefit Passionate about IT & technology Ability to work independently with restricted support Excellent problem solving skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Able to prioritise work based on business requirements This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89694369
