Senior Java Developer (Java Software Engineer Programmer Developer Microservices Micro-Services Micro Services SQL AWS Amazon Web Services gRPC protobuf API R Python Finance Trading Asset Management Contract Contrctor Consultant) required by our asset management client in London. You MUST have the following: Strong experience as a Java Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer Microservices/micro-services/micro services Strong SQL (RDBMS) Amazon Web Services (AWS) OR gRPC/protobuf Experience engineering advances API's in corporate environments The following is DESIRABLE, not essential: R Python Finance/trading Role: Senior Java Developer (Java Software Engineer Programmer Developer Microservices Micro-Services Micro Services SQL AWS Amazon Web Services gRPC protobuf API R Python Finance Trading Asset Management Contract Contrctor Consultant) required by our asset management client in London. You will be joining a team of six engineers that are working on an automated data quality checking tool. The tool will assess extremely large volumes of data coming from an AWS hosted database (Aurora) which is then streamed into other platforms and analytical tools around the company. The data is largely reference data used for financial products that are traded in by the company. The product is being built from scratch. The Aurora/AWS database has only recently been completed. Everything is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), using components such as ECS and RDS. The product will be built in Java. You may do some work in Python. This is a technology centric role so finance experience is not important, making this a good opportunity to enter the sector. You need strong Java, SQL and either AWS or gRPC/protobuf. Experience in finance, Python or R is only desirable.
