Overview

Change Public Practice are working with a successful and long standing Fife business to recruit a Finance Manager to their Dunfermline based office on either a part-time or full-time basis. This business is a local accountancy practice which offers a range of services to their varied client portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with the firm’s Partners to lead their internal Finance team to develop this growing department. There is flexibility to work full-time (5 days per week) or the option to consider reducing the working week (ideally 3 days minimum). Responsibilities in this role include but will not be limited to: • Responsible for the internal financial records including fee ledger, purchase ledger, firm’s bank accounts, quarterly VAT return production and processing of monthly payroll • Preparation of annual budgets and monitoring of forecasts against actuals • Responsibility for cash flow management and liaison with the firm’s bank • Monthly management reporting to a high level of accuracy to include profit and loss account, balance sheet and partners’ capital accounts • Monthly budgets and projections would also be required • Implementing, coordinating and managing finance processes and making improvements to these • Overseeing the finance function of the office to ensure this runs smoothly and efficiently • Contributing to partners meetings • Various pieces of ad hoc and project work Requirements to be considered for this role include: • Fully-Qualified ACCA/CA or equivalent with relevant post-qualification experience • Positive self-starter with ability meet strict deadlines • Ability to liaise and communicate with key stakeholders externally and in the business • Excellent IT skills including Xero, Excel and other Microsoft packages To discuss this role further, or other opportunities within Public Practice, please contact Johanne Smith.
