Overview

As a systems-driven business, effective product ownership and deep knowledge on business-critical IT systems, and their dependencies, is fundamental to firm’s success. As the Dynamics 365 Product Owner you will be responsible for the product roadmap across all modules of the D365 platform that the business chooses to use. This includes, but is not limited to, the following aspects: Module selection Product modification Data migration Replacing legacy systems, where Dynamics 365 is chosen to do so Integration with systems outside of the Dynamics 365 product suite Business analysis Workflow design and UX Implementation planning Change management Release management (product updates including maintenance of environments) Stakeholder engagement (including advising Stakeholders on product suitability) Product maintenance Upskilling technical support colleagues to provide outstanding customer service Support (internal support metrics based upon sufficient OLAs) Liaising with third party support (including monitoring SLAs) Governance of the system across all business areas In order to be successful in this role you will need to gain a depth of knowledge on the product suite and upskill other technical support colleagues to ensure that we have adequate capability to support the platform. You will need to define metrics for supporting the product which your internal customers recognise as being suitable for their needs and put the appropriate measures in place to ensure adherence to these measures. In your senior position, you will work closely with your peers to ensure the smooth delivery of projects. You will respond swiftly whenever your high expectations for outstanding customer service are not being met. You will be accurate and concise in recording information, selectively deciding what you document to ensure outstanding customer service. You will often be in a position of leading others to ensure that projects and other change initiatives are a success. You will need to be comfortable with working in a project environment, leading people through challenging times when a project may not be going to plan, embracing innovation and change. Change management and risk management are critical elements of good product ownership. You will be comfortable with identifying change requirements, issues and risks creating plans and working with your stakeholders to ensure that change is managed in line with the risk reduction activities you will have identified. For the purposes of this Role Profile Scorecard your scope will be as follows: All modules of the Dynamics 365 product suite in use or planned for future use All projects and programmes which either relate to, or directly impact, Integrations between Dynamics 365 and other business systems OUTCOMES AGAINST WHICH YOU WILL BE MEASURED: The stability, effectiveness, utilisation and customer satisfaction of the product will form the key aspects of how your performance in role is measured. You will work within the parameters of the company values and policies You will deliver your elements of projects on time and to budget You will forecast Opex requirements and apply rigour to cost control You will keep accurate records and be ruthless in deciding what information is necessary, this includes critical documentation for supporting Dynamics 365, integration and customisations to ensure you are not a single point of failure
