CAD Designer / Estimator - Sheet Metal Bradford £25-28k Sheet Metal Fabrication company in Bradford is looking for a CAD Designer/Estimator to join their busy but friendly team. The role would suit someone who has a background in engineering/fabrication and confident knowledge of sheet metal processes who has previous design experience. We are keen to talk to candidates who have worked their way up from the shop floor and are now looking to peruse CAD design as their main role. As the CAD / Mechanical Designer you will: Deal directly with customers to receive and interpret orders Work in Radan 2 & 3D to prepare drawings for fabrication and manufacture Undertake production planning activities Undertake estimating, project costing to produce effective quotations using ERP/MRP system ( in-house and or external training would be made available for the right candidate) As the CAD / Mechanical Designer/Estimator you will have a confident understating or experience of: Radan , AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks or similar Experience in design for sheet metal A confident understating of all sheet metal processes material tolerances Have excellent customer service experience and the ability to undertake cost negotiation with both customers and suppliers A keen eye for detail and be able to produce accurate calculations, costing and reports Call Yasemin at Travail on 01423 530138 to arrange an interview.
