Role Description This role is suitable for an engineer with good all-round Windows Server support experience to provide escalated break/fix support and work with Problem Managers to prevent recurrence of repeat issues. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Troubleshooting Windows Server and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software Incidents/problems Work to SLA thresholds for incidents for multiple customers Prioritising and managing several open cases and mini projects at one time Supporting a range of server environments including various Windows Server O/Ss, VMWare, ESX, XenDesktop Managing Active Directory & Group Policy Administering Domain Controllers Key Attributes Experience of supporting a variety of Windows client and server operating systems Familiarity with VMWare (vSphere, vCenter etc) Experience of Cloud Technologies / Infrastructure Troubleshooting network issues Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with Windows Server operating systems ITIL– must understand principles Experience of powershell and other scripting languages preferred SC eligible Out of Hours Standby / Out of Hours overtime may be required at times DXC Technology is an Equal Opportunity employer.
