ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT/BOOKKEEPER - Successful Media Agency We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our growing company. Location The job is Based in Burgess Hill with some travel to London on occasion but within the 9.00 t0 6.00pm Hours Hours Up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This would ideally be a full time position/ Part time may be a considered This Job may suit a candidate coming back to works after having children 20 Days holiday 8 days bank holiday Salary Salary is negotiable, depending on experience and hours agreed. This role will involve: Raising invoices/Credit notes Processing sales/purchase payments Credit Control Month end bank reconciliations and maintaining. Developing excel reports for management Prepare end of year reports. Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person. Specific-to-industry Tax returns (Foreign Entertainers Tax) Basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc. Keep in touch with Purchase ledger duties (some work would be shared within the team) Managing petty cash transactions Processing expenses from staff members Possible tasks currently dealt with by our accountants such as VAT returns, P&L, balance sheets. The ideal candidate would: Experienced accounting assistant/Book keeper Be a reliable individual that is pro-active and self-motivated. Be comfortable working alongside our booking teams and assist with senior management and directors. Be confident speaking to clients and have an exceptional telephone manner. Be willing to travel once a week to our main office in London (The travel cost would be expensed and paid back to the employee). Have knowledge working with accounting systems such as Xero and Quickbooks. At absolute minimum, you would need a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures. Have intermediate excel skills.
