Overview

Based in a beautiful listed building in central Bournemouth, our client is a successful service business. Renowned for delivering exceptional customer service, their tailored approach supports a wide variety of SME businesses. With locations throughout the South they now need an experienced and hands on Financial Controller to take responsibility of a team of 4 at their head office. Reporting to the Managing Director, this key role will include Overseeing financial function and ensuring key controls are maintained and developed as required Production of monthly management accounts and related reports for senior management and the board - company and group level Liaising with auditors/bankers/landlords and rates Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to strategic development of the business Review of commercial agreements and terms Attending board and senior management meetings Supporting operations, compliance and analysis Manage and support your team and take responsibility for their development You will be confident in your ability, use your own initiative with excellent communication skills. With drive and enthusiasm, you will also be given the opportunity to prove your ability to advance to Finance Director in due course. This position requires a person who can move between a "strategic" and "handson" approach. The role would suit an individual who comes from a SME background and has experience of managing a small accounts department.
