Overview
We are looking for HGV CE (Class 1) drivers for our Client based in Ilkeston. Work can be available across Days, Nights and Weekends. Typically, the work involves trunking to either RDCs or direct to customers with a back-load on the return journey. Work is a combination of Curtain Sider, Box Unit and Refridge. During busy periods, there may be the requirement for 2-3 drops. There is no handball required, drivers will of course be required to check loads prior to moving off and ensure correctly strapped for transport. Start times are various, but there can be the requirement to start one hour prior to or one hour later to the allocated shift and flexibility is required given the busy nature of the operation. All units are well maintained. The minimum experience required is 12 months. Average shift is 10-14 hours long. Correct completion of run sheets and POD paperwork is essential. The opportunity exists for the work to be ongoing up until the end of December if this work suits. PAY RATES: LTD / Umbrella DAYS/NIGHTS: • £13.00 – Monday to Friday • £16.00 – Saturday Days • £18.00 – Sunday Days Please note for this position you will need: • Full UK Licence – Cat CE held for one year. • DCPC Qualification Card. • Digi Tachograph Card. • Max 6 Points, No DDs, DRs or INs.
