Job Title : Dump Truck Driver Location: Great Hucklow, Derbyshire, SK17 8RF Hours: Full-time basis (40 Hour Per Week - The role typically involves day (06:00-14:00) and afternoon (14:00-22:00) shifts rotating weekly. Salary: £23 000 p.a Production Bonus. Benefits: Pension, Public Holidays Off, Overtime Available. British Fluorspar Ltd is a mining company based in the Peak District, Derbyshire and is looking for a full-time Dump Truck Driver to form part of production and mining team in their operations in the Peak District Derbyshire. To be successful as a Dump Truck Driver, you should be able to pick up and deliver materials in and out of the underground mine. Ultimately, a top-performing Dump Truck Driver should perform all duties in accordance with company safety rules and onsite road safety regulations. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the role and achieve the tasks required using strong organisational skills and a culture to adhere to health and safety. The Role: Transporting crushed/blasted rock and gravel to and from specified locations from the underground mine and on site. Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions. Ensuring that the materials are loaded correctly onto the dump truck. Greasing the dump truck every shift, or when needed. Inspecting the dump truck before and after every shift, which includes checking the oil, gas and water levels as well as the lights and tyres. Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries or mechanical faults to management. Maintaining accurate driver logs. Complying with all site safety rules and regulations. Skills/Qualifications: Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License. Medically fit for work. Proven experience operating a standard dump truck. Working knowledge of construction/mining site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills.
