Registered Children’s Home Manager DA17 £40000-£45000 Negotiable We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Home Manager to support 5-18 year old’s with complex needs at a 4 bed Home in Kent(DA17) This organisation message is "Quality of care is paramount" their staff have to meet their high expectations and values. Children’s Home Manager will :- Manage the staff and resources of the Home, to provide a positive living experience for the resident young people Liaise with the Operations Manager and carry out delegated tasks as required Provide supervision to staff as designated by the Operations Manager Oversee, on a day-to-day basis, the care, safety and development of all residents, alongside the management, development and co-ordination of the home and its outreach work. Shortlist; interview and recommend for employment or not, potential new employees Oversee the induction of new employees Line manager to the management and staff teams at the Home Ensure that the agreed plans at the Home are implemented Monitor and review the work practices of all staff in their day-to-day work with the young people, parents, Social Workers, other agencies and the public and those they encounter on outreach work Oversee each area of budgetary spending, ensure that Key Workers are keeping within agreed limits Account for any expenditure to the company Directors, especially if monies are spent on items not agreed in advance by the Operational Manager or the Directors Attend training opportunities, as required It is essential that you have Ofsted Inspection experience. Ensuring that employees are aware of their responsibilities under the Health and Safety Act 1974, to carry out agreed safety procedures in maintaining a safe environment for all people involved in the company Residential Children’s Home Manager must have:- At least 2 years’ experience in operational & service at a residential setting strategic management skills of children, staff resources Experience of working with children with EBD in a in a residential setting Experience of facilitating, organising and directing & developing teams Experience of using childcare Standards & best practice model to guide decision making Experience of translating policy into practice Knowledge of Management theories Management Qualifications Management training & experience Child related/Social care qualifications Knowledge of Equal opportunities & diversity models Up to date knowledge of Childcare & Child Protection Laws Basic knowledge of IT NVQ 5 Leadership and management Full knowledge of OFSTED requirements Satisfactory DBS check Do you meet the criteria above????
