Overview
This is an interesting role for a Project Manager who has managed application software implementation projects within a software company or vendor and has good experience of the project implementation life cycle from sale to hand over, including timelines, project plans, resources, budgets, risks and issues, milestones and deliverables. You will be working on mid-range ERP software projects and can be home based, or office based, but either way you would need to be in their Surrey head office near Egham, at least once a month. Salary to £45k. Their current team is made up of a Senior Project Manager, 8 ERP Implementation Consultants and 2 Project Managers, one of whom is very junior level and progressing well, and the other is being promoted to Operations Manager so hence the replacement that is needed will sit between the Senior and the Junior PM. So this role is for an mid-level Project Manager with experience of managing projects for a software company delivering application software. This could be ERP or accounting software similar to this environment, such as Sage 200, NetSuite, Dynamics NAV, Epicor, SAP Business One, PS Financials, Greentree, Infor, SunSystems, Dynamics GP, Coda etc or it could be other application software such as Payroll, HR, Field Service, Legal, MRP, Construction software, Property Management software, Retail software, CRM, BI, or anything in the same vein. You need to understand the process of the software implementation project life cycle, so: Design it Built it Test it Deploy it And you understand the issues with getting the right consultant to the client on the right day to do the tasks. You know how to create project management plans to capture user and system requirements, milestones, and deliverables to complete projects; you can manage activity, schedules, creep, risk and stakeholders, and you are a strong communicator who can deal with the pain points, and build great relationships with your clients and your team. You will travel to client sites to do kick off meetings so you should expect 2-4 days travelling every month and the occasional overnight stay. The UK MD is highly experienced with their ERP solution, takes a hands-on approach to the business and works alongside the clients and the staff. The company is part of a larger global ERP group that turns over £300 million - in the UK they have around 20 staff. Contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing for further details.
