Overview
Software Developer (Front End) - Aberdeen 6month contract Salary - 40k - 60k pro rata The Client Our client is a leading provider of data science and predictive analysis services for the oil and gas industry. The company work closely with oil and gas operating companies as a remote extension of their asset teams; helping them to solve complex problems, improve efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate risks by making better use of their operational data. The Role The company are looking for a creative Front-end Developer to assist their software development team to create visually appealing and user-friendly products for the clients. Front-end Developer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, developing UI/UX mock-ups that clearly illustrate how products function and flow. Translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the products. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with designing software and wireframe tools. Ultimately, youll create both functional and appealing features that address the clients needs and help the company grow their customer base. Responsibilities Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and stakeholders Maintaining brand consistency throughout design Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps Developing features to enhance the user experience Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, vectors, sketches and tables) Prepare and present drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness) Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback Qualifications Proven work experience as a Front-end Developer or similar role Understanding of key design principles Proficiency with Angular, JavaScript and TypeScript is must Experience with responsive and adaptive design Portfolio of design projects Knowledge of wireframe tools Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders Good time-management skills Creative, innovative and analytical approach Attention to detail Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
