Overview

Are you a qualified or part-qualified accountant with at least one years’ practice experience? You’d be joining a small, well-established accountancy practice and this is a brand new role so you won’t be filling anyone else’s shoes. As the new Client Manager, you’ll look after a portfolio of up to 150 service-based companies so your personalised approach to work is vital. Practice experience is crucial as we’d love you to be up to speed very quickly. In addition, when you join, this will free up the MD to further develop new business relationships and bring on more clients who value your supportive and detailed approach to their financial wellbeing and that of their companies. This is not a pile 'em high, sell 'em cheap operation so you will have time to invest in developing these relationships and making a real difference to their businesses. Your key responsibilities as the Client Manager include: Reviewing and sign off of year-end company accounts and corporation tax returns Sign off of sole trader accounts, personal tax returns and Partnership accounts and tax returns Present and discuss any queries with your clients VAT returns, payroll, confirmation statements Advising clients on their salary and dividends This is not an email-only, transactional role. We need your strong phone and face-to-face communication skills so as the clients feel well looked after by the practice. You’ll have the following skills, experience and personality traits to be the practice's Client Manager: At least one year in an accountancy practice ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified - and working towards your qualification You’re meticulous and organised, with fanatical attention to detail Strong communication skills and enjoy speaking with clients A desire and commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience Strong problem-solving skills A pro-active attitude Easy to get along with, in a small team (being able to make a nice cup of tea is a big plus too) Good IT skills in that you are confident, willing and able to learn new platforms and IT solutions Job title: Client Manager (PQ/Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant) Job Type: Full time (35 hours per week - 5 days per week) Salary range: £30,000 to £40,000/year dependent on your experience Based: Horfield, Bristol with easy parking If this feels like it’s the type of career opportunity you’d like, in a practice where fantastic customer experience and happy team members are paramount, please send your CV across today.
