If you are a commercially focused accountant with a track record in consumer lending, this is the move for you The Story: Finatal are currently supporting a private equity-backed consumer lending business who have overseen triple digit growth in a 3-year span. Our client has operated in the market for over 20 years, with a track record of delivering a first-class service to its customers within the lending space. As the investment house involved are continually supporting significant organic growth, they are now seeking an ambitious FP&A Accountant to take ownership of the MI, data and financial modelling throughout a period of sustained growth. Offering significant progression, autonomy and development, we require an ambitious individual who can deliver high level Management Information to drive operational and strategic change. The Role: You will be the first hire in an FP&A capacity taking full ownership of delivering strategic MI to senior management and Private Equity investors Building key financial models for future growth and high-profile decision making Responsibility for delivering the 3-year company financial plan Building a team in your image over time Producing the board pack, inclusive of variance analysis and commentary Supporting new business initiatives including full market mapping, competitor analysis and modelling of impact on group regarding initiatives Ownership of monthly forecasting and budget setting Supporting the roll out of PowerBI Partnering with non-finance personnel to outline objectives and KPI’s Working closely with investors to support continued funding requirements About You: You must hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Candidates must have experience in lending (B2B/B2C) or similarly regulated environment Experience of financial modelling and delivering key MI Leadership skills, given you are the first hire in this capacity you will take ownership of building a team in time Ability to operate in a fast paced and agile environment Able to build relationships with senior stakeholders and non-finance personnel Adept in the use of Microsoft excel, ideally SQL Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate key findings
