Overview

Practice Administrator Location: Maldon, Essex. Pay: £12.50ph initially, to be reviewed after 6 months. Contract: Part time, 2 days per week, hours 9.30 - 5.00. Benefits: Statutory holidays and SSP pro rata will apply, plus, on satisfactory completion of the probation period, the opportunity to be included in the work place pension, provided the relevant minimum salaries apply. We are seeking a part time Administrator / Payroll Assistant to join our growing office based in Maldon, Essex. TaxAssist Accountants is a national network of accountants who are experts in helping small business owners and self-employed people with their tax and accountancy needs. We are primarily looking for an administrator who has an excellent eye for detail. Some payroll required and possibly some basic data inputting when the workload calls, and any other ad hoc duties as required, so flexibility is a must. Key tasks / responsibilities • Answer all telephone calls and reception enquiries in a timely, courteous and efficient manner and accurately log information on all calls received • Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions • Submission of completed documents to HMRC and Companies House • Onboarding of new clients including registration for appropriate taxes • Invoicing clients and first level of credit control • Using the Practice Management System for setting up work tasks and calling in client work at the appropriate time. Training will be provided and there will be further opportunities to increase our utilisation of the system to increase efficiency. • Preparation of client correspondence including marketing information • Basic payroll operation - full training will be provided What we need from you • Administration experience gained within a small office environment • A strong desire to provide excellent customer service with the confidence to communication with a wide variety of clients • Strong experience in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to develop skills with new IT packages If you feel you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role then apply today Strictly no agencies.
