The Company Our client provides Supported Living, Residential, Outreach and Community Services to individuals with multiple or complex needs such as learning disabilities, autism, ABI and/or challenging behaviours. Employees benefit from great career progression, sector-leading professional training and great job stability - people stay an average of 6 years The Role This service is mainly a residential care service based just outside Tonbridge town centre which supports people with learning disabilities, down syndrome, Alzheimer’s and epilepsy for example. The service doesn’t require drivers however applicants must be able to get to the service for all shift patterns e.g. earlies start around 7am and lates finish at around 10pm as public transport isn’t the best in the area. We’re looking for people to be as flexible as possible to cover all shift patterns. The role is 39 hours per week covering early mornings, late and night shifts. Skills and Experience You don’t need experience as full training is provided, and you will work with a local team who will guide you from day one. You will need to be: •Reliable - the person you support, their family and your team will quickly learn that they can count on you. •Creative - you see alternative ways of getting things done effectively. •Determined - you don’t give up when things get difficult. These qualities are essential to the role, as together they mean you will be able to give outstanding support, empowering people to make choices and: •participate in social, leisure and work activities •carry out everyday tasks, such as personal care, cleaning or going shopping •learn new skills and reach their full potential Salary and Benefits The salary is £16,650 per annum.
