The successful Financial Analyst Assistants responsibilities will be: Ensures accurate financial data is available to analyse and support commercial transactions / projects; Identifies trends and correlations based on available data; Analyses data to provide insight into risks and opportunities related to commercial transactions / projects; Interrogates systems to utilise relevant and appropriate data; and Is inquisitive of information provided, challenging the status quo. Establishes agreed timelines with business units and ensures deadlines are met; Promotes best practice principles across all business units; Ensures transparency of assumptions and financial outputs / recommendations; and Communicates regularly with business units and maintains open and collaborative dialogue with business partners. Translates financial data into business relevant information; Effectively challenges business assumptions utilising available data; Supports business partners and stakeholders to understand the financial impact transactions / initiatives; Actively engages with stakeholders to enhance commerciality of Finance function; and Creates open channels of communication with business partners to ensure information is openly shared and challenge is welcomed. The successful Financial Analyst Assistant must possess: AAT and/or CIMA or equivalent qualifications ACCA or ACA qualified would be desirable Relevant degree would be advantageous Experience in a Retail/FMCG environment preferred Experience in financial analysis/commercial analysis Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent attention to detail Proven success at building and maintaining relationships and networks At Inplace Recruitment we believe it is people that make the business succeed, the right people, expertly placed in the correct positions.
