Overview

Children's therapeutic support worker - Residential I am working on behalf of a client who have a small but well established company which allows them to provide individual focus around the services which are already running and they also have plans for expansion in the near future which will be an exciting venture for any successful applicant to be a part of and will also opens door for progression opportunities for someone who would be looking to progress within the sector. I currently have vacancies in both the worksop area and Epworth, For this role you MUST to have:- Experience of working with challenging children whom have both behavioural & emotional support needs, within a residential setting. Be able to work with individuals in a person centred way, with an empathetic and compassionate approach, Be flexible around working shift patterns & sleeps In this role you would be supporting children between the ages of 8 to 18 who have suffered previous trauma such as, sexual/physical abuse or other trauma which has lead to emotional behavioural disorders ( EBD) and high levels of challenging behaviour ( including physical) and may have previously offended themselves as a consequence of these issues . You would be supporting them in all aspects of day to day life, including encouragement to attend school and meet educational needs and to work closely with other professionals involved. The service is a 5 bed therapeutic service accommodating both male and female individuals, it also has an on-site education centre and therapeutic room. The shift patterns are 2 x 12 hour shifts inclusive of a sleep in shift in between which would be paid at £60 in addition to the hourly rate of £8.83. ( £17,220 - £20,120) pa. £100 referral bonus to anyone that refers a successful applicant to us
