Overview
Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Qualified Social Worker to fill a full-time role in Colchester. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of Mental Health and practices within the NHS. In this NHS role you will work alongside the Access and Assessment Service to ensure the provision of an integrated service for people with co-existing substance misuse and mental health problems. You will require to work collaboratively with key partner organisation within a multi-disciplinary service providing a flexible approach to meet the needs of the patients and their families. You will undertake risk assessments and develop risk management plans. You will use exemplary social work knowledge and practice and be committed to undertake person centred work with individuals and families focussing on their strengths, interests and assets in accordance with the Care Act (2014). As part of a multidisciplinary team you will support the understanding and knowledge of the role of social work within mental health, as identified by the five role categories for Social Work for Better Mental Health. This role is Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. 37.5 hours a week. The pay rate for this Band 6 Qualified Social Worker is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella) 3-month contract initially, due to start ASAP.
