NHS BLOOD AND TRANSPLANT Senior Systems Test Engineer Band 7, £37,570 to £43,772 pa Location: Bristol Ref: 918-IM5363 We are a specialist NHS trust supporting Blood Donation across England and Organ Donation and Transplantation across the United Kingdom.We have sites located across the country and have over 5,000 staff dedicated to the cause of helping and saving lives. IT plays a critical role in supporting the business and it’s a rare and fantastic opportunity that as an IT professional you can work on projects which directly impact people's lives and welfare. You could be just the person we are looking for, a Senior Systems Test Engineer with experience of database-driven, web-based application testing focusing on functional and integration testing. You will have experience of requirement-based testing and the ability to produce structured performance test scripts and plans. You will have experience of the full Software Development Life Cycle, ideally using both Waterfall and Agile approaches. Experience of test management and test automation is desirable, and you will ideally hold the ISEB Foundation certificate or higher. The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following; Preparing Test Approach/Test Plans Authoring and execution of test scripts derived from reviewed and approved requirements specifications. Knowledge of Test Automation using Selenium with Visual Studio, C# and SpecFlow would be highly desirable Knowledge of SQL and webservice testing tools like SOAPUI, Postman would be essential Follow the extant Software Development Life Cycle, System Testing and Quality Assurance processes and Standards. Participate in test planning and management and daily team stand up meetings. Defect management. Improvements to the quality assurance process.
