Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for our brand-new role of General Manager to join our Restaurant. What’s the General Manager role? We are looking for a General Manager to join our Restaurant team at Bents Garden & Home; this new role will be intrinsic in leading our Dining Department forward, developing and leading a business strategy that delivers a sustainable commercial upscale experience for customers and colleagues. The General Manager’s daily role will include; Lead, inspire, motivate and develop the Dining Leadership Team, including our People and Operations Manager and Head Chef. Support the day to day running of all Dining areas, managing a large team of service and housekeeping colleagues, delivering and developing a large scale and high-quality diverse range of hot and cold dishes and service to a high standard. Preparation and delivery of the current and future Dining strategy and in line with the business objectives. Delivery of an exceptional customer experience, driving service skills and standards. Leading the team to deliver quality and operational standards, and upholding the same. Control the financial and non-financial performance of Dining. Planning current and future layouts and concepts for Dining, including leading the projects for future developments across Dining, including planning applications, negotiations and strong liaison with the appointed Developers. Our ideal General Manager will have the below skills and experience; The General Manager will highly self-motivated, visionary and achievement orientated. The job will entail a high degree of inspirational leadership, a strategic outlook with strong financial acumen. Proven experience of running a large hospitality business or business unit. Catering experience and team management in a Stadium or large / prestigious corporate catering environment. Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management experience within the catering industry, including demonstrable, successful interaction with senior management. Have successfully managed million pound plus budgets, and able to show proven experience in successfully delivering a strong EBITDA. Proven track record in implementing an innovative and creative approach, leading long-term projects, including build and renovations. Intermediate food hygiene certificate. Who are Bents?
