We're currently looking for a Hospitality and Events Chef to take responsibility and control in absence of the head chef. What will you be doing? In order to do this role you MUST be from an events background You will be looking after events for numbers up to 300, including sit down meals for 240 Organise and lead back of house teams through miss en place and service execution Look at the development and planning of menus , including future food trends Develop new styles of service and concepts in the location Compile all food orders, ensuring food standards and cost are agreed with the Catering Manager Plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by the company and the client. To maintain records relating to food production activities and supplier information as required by the Catering Manager. To ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards are maintained in line with company policy. Your focus and desire is to work with the freshest and best ingredients . Food’s provenance is critical to you and the closer to your kitchen, the better. You understand that being a great chef is not just about cooking but the ability to work with a team. You will possess basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate and have strong Supervisory experience within an Kitchen environment.
