iOS Developer - Cardiff - Excellent salary & package including unlimited holidays We're helping to grow the technical team for a fast growing SaaS startup in Cardiff, and on the lookout for a talented iOS Developer who never says no to a challenge and wants to learn lots of new skills What you'll be doing… You will be joining the product engineering team which is collectively responsible for several web, desktop and iOS apps, a browser extension and a suite of desktop plugins. As an iOS Developer you will be involved in the development of iOS apps on iPhone and iPad, and in conjunction with the team, help shape the mobile strategy which is critical for users. Other responsibilities include: Shape the applications so they can handle the synchronisation, storage and display of gigabytes of data while remaining responsive to the user Design and implement features that take advantage of the capabilities of iOS devices like the camera, microphone, GPS, etc Ensure mobile apps complement the other applications in the clients platform Collaborate with peers on interface design, code reviews and testing Pragmatically analyse customer feedback and usage data to improve and iterate features About you… Overall we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about iOS development with an intuitive feel for what makes great software. You should use and appreciate Apple products, and eagerly anticipate WWDC every year You should enjoy seeing code and feature development through the full lifecycle: from requirements gathering, specification and prototyping through to deployment. Essentially, we need to see some examples or documented experience that demonstrates your technical skills…other than that it would be great if you have - Objective-C and Swift (JavaScript would be ideal but is not crucial) Confidence in consuming REST / JSON web service APIs. Demonstrable experience with iOS. Familiarity with the Core Data and WebKit frameworks is desirable but not essential. Experience with source control (Git), unit tests, UI tests and other software development best practices. Still here?
