Group Accountant

Group Accountant Basingstoke £45 – 55k BOE Company Overview: We are working with a leading retailer in Hampshire who are looking to hire a Group Accountant to support them through an impressive period of growth. The business has recently made some acquisitions and as a result looking at doubling their turnover in the next few years. This is an SME organisation that has been going for 20 years and is renowned for being a key player in their field and has a strong reputation offering luxury high value products. Your new role as Group Accountant: As Group Accountant you shall be responsible for providing group consolidated accounts and provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to track performance and make optimal business decisions. You shall gain exposure to fixed asset management and provide analytics and insight to help drive business decisions. With ownership over budgets and forecasting you shall lead the preparation and coordination of all financial reporting requirements and provide business partnering to the production and manufacturing departments in order to deliver strategic direction through effective financial reporting. You will also be responsible for leading the team of 5 across AR,AP and credit control. The Experience & Qualifications Required: You shall have a minimum of five years of progressive Finance experience as a Group Accountant or Management accountant in a manufacturing/retail environment, fully conversant with UK statutory reporting requirements you shall also have knowledge of US GAAP reporting requirements (would be an advantage). A qualified accountant (CIMA ACA ACCA) you shall also have experience of working to tight reporting deadlines.
