Overview
Do you enjoy working with people? Could you ensure that every visitor has a positive experience during their visit? Do you want to work in a fun vibrant team? Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly person with a positive attitude to join their team. You will be very capable of taking decisions on your own, as you will have overall accountability of the centre during your shift. This role is extremely hands on and every day is different. Tasks will range from dealing with visitor’s queries, health and safety issues and procedures, room bookings, trading operations and banking. Duty Manager Salary: £11.52 per hour Contract: Permanent Hours: Average of 34 hours per month across the year (to be discussed with successful candidate). Majority of time will be weekend working Based: The Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham The successful candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and confident in their abilities to resolve complex customer issues. You will also be able to work well and communicate with a wide range of people to establish good working relationships, and support and cooperate with others. Confident in your ability to stay calm under pressure, Enthusiasm, energy and the ability to deal with difficult situations in a busy environment is vital Our client is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.
