Location: Pontefract, West Yorkshire/Leeds Job title: Senior Residential Support Worker Salary: £25,600 to £27,400 (Including 10 'sleep-ins' per month) Hours: 37 hours per week plus sleeps The salary quoted above is including 10 sleep in shifts per month, these sleep in shifts are paid at a rate of £45 per sleep. Hexagon are an industry leading provider of children's residential with over 97% of our homes rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. Hexagon are seeing to appoint a Senior Residential Support Worker for an established children's home in the West Yorkshire area local to Pontefract. This home is easily accessible from leeds and Wakefield. The management team have a combined 20 years experience between them, with the home managers previous role as an Ofsted Inspector. They are looking for an experienced and qualified Senior Residential Support Worker to join their team. The service of this home is for 3 mixed gender young people with an age range of 11-17. At present the young people in this service are aged 14 & 15. The provision caters for young people with complex needs ranging from EBD to HSB. Hexagon are fortunate enough to have our own psychologists that work closely with staff and young people to offer specialist therapeutic services to our young people, including 1:1 consultations At present shifts start at 7:30am until 8am the following day, following a one on, two off rota. Although there is scope for this to change. All seniors are required to complete sleep ins. As a Senior Residential Support Worker you will have the following: A minimum of 18 months experience working in a children’s residential setting Diploma Level 3 (Children’s residential/Young people workforce or equivalent accredited qualification) The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire the young people in your care Lead, demonstrate, and share best practice to other practitioners in your home. In addition to working closely alongside Psychologists and our specialist therapeutic services team.
