Onion Grading System Operator The Company: World class producer of fresh produce, including onions, supplying supermarkets, wholesale & processing sectors. They are now seeking an Onion Grading System Operator in East Anglia who will be reporting to the Grader Manger. The Role: My client have recently installed a new high-tech grading system which uses pictorial imaging to sort onions into size and quality. They are now progressing beyond the commissioning phase and are looking for somebody to take minute to minute responsibility for ‘driving’ the line. Quality, safety, legalities, security and authenticity of product on site, in accordance with site policies and procedures. Screen and topper blade management. Visual inspection and selection of product, in accordance with quality and food safety requirements. Notification of hopper/grader/line equipment failure during production. Start and stop of lines at beginning and end of shift and break times. Assisting with maintenance requirements, including bin repair and cleaning requirements. To ensure the continual movement of product throughout the process from intake to despatch. Monitoring of compactor levels Rubicon - Labels, RCI's and Dispatch Notes. The Candidate: This role requires the candidate to possess a good standard of computer literacy with a very high attention to detail. They must have the ability to work as a part of a team but also be able to think for themselves and be a problem solver. The Package: Competitive depending on experience.
