Process Leader

A leading manufacturing group, this innovative organisation is looking to recruit a process leader to head up the heat treatment department, managing a team of 30 people and taking full budgetary responsibility. Shift Manager / Process Leader / Production Manager / Works Manager Location: South Birmingham; Commutable from Redditch, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Worcester and South Birmingham areas Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum benefits, based upon experience Main duties and responsibilities: O Take accountability for the heat treatment department, driving consistent standards, process improvements and customer satisfaction. O Responsibility for the operating budget which will include; Payroll, consumables, Tooling, Sub Contract and Overtime. O Business planning, load and capacity, SIOP, OPE etc O Performance Management/Production systems – Manpower, machines, Methods, Materials Knowledge and experience required: O Previous knowledge / experience of a heat treatment facility/operation O Extensive Knowledge / experience of leading large scale industrial, complex operations. Experience of working in a Unionised production environment would be advantageous O Previous achievements in LEAN/CI project activity O Experience of working within a KPI driven production environment O Previous experience of managing production teams up to or over 30 employee’s The opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced works manager/shift manager/production manager to be part of an expending business with continued investment and high quality facilities.
