Company Accountant £35k-£40k pa Scunthorpe Your new company Our client, a well-established family run and fast-growing business, based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire is looking to recruit to the job of Company Accountant. Your new role As a Company Accountant you will report directly to the Board and be responsible for 3 team members across 2 sites. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing monthly management accounts and annual accounts for audit Preparing and filing VAT returns under MTD Interacting with payroll bureau regarding wages Stock Control Sales/purchase ledger Bank and nominal ledger Wages and pension scheme administration Managing company bank accounts/credit cards Identifying and improving the process in the accounts system Managing month and year end close down Audit administration What you'll need to succeed You must have a professional qualification or be qualified by experience with broad ranging accounting experience. Previous staff management and retail experience would be advantageous.
