1. Job Title: Senior Project Manager 2. Reports To: M.D. and will be integral part of senior management team helping devise and implementing the strategy of the business. 3. Main Purpose of Role: Ensuring a business that is going through a steep growth curve remains fit for purpose. Helping to manage the transition from a 'telephone based response’ to online efficiency. 4. Location: North East of England 5. The Client: Our client is a highly successful car warranty and associated products intermediary, providing a range of specialist insurance products to meet clients’ automotive and related needs. It operates in the world of added value products to the customers of automotive retailers that is changing quickly from face to face offering to on-line sales. They are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the role of Senior Project Manager reporting to the Managing Director. Main Tasks of role: - Manage a diverse range of projects across the business, including but not limited to technical solution implementation, claims handling system implementation and new business take on.Ensuring all ongoing and new projects operate efficiently. Define and agree project scope, goals and deliverables with main stakeholders. Picking up project management role from incumbent who is leaving the area Work with and develop individuals across the organisation who have no project background to identify project tasks, resource requirements and resource allocation Providing training and coaching to help achieve targets Provide day to day direction and support to project team Protect projects from business as usual practises Identify, assemble and coordinate project teams in a time efficient way Track project deliverables, and communicate status updates to stakeholders using appropriate tools Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders Manage project risk and issues to ensure milestones and business-critical deadlines are met Partake in project evaluations and Health Check reviews as appropriate Carry out ongoing Maintenance and support checks to newly rolled out projects Work closely with the MD to understand the reasons for change, both technically and culturally and help devise and support an effective program of change management Help develop a culture within the organisation that allows feedback from the operation to be heard and acted upon, so that continuous improvement becomes baked into the culture of the business The Candidate: - You will be: Qualified to graduate level An experienced project manager with practical experience of managing and coordinating multiple projects including IT system implementations. Ideally Prince 2 qualified Ideally, although not essential, experience of the Financial Services or insurance sectors Strong leadership/management skills with good inter personal communication skills with experience of leading teams and implementing change Good commercial awareness, budgeting skills and financial control Remuneration: £55k - £70k neg, benefits overall incentive scheme
