Overview
Duties and Responsibilities: Develop a sound technical understanding of current and new products and services. Respond to and co-ordinate all technical enquires from respective area of responsibility or product specialism; ensuring the query is tracked and followed up to ensure the customer receives prompt and comprehensive advice. Visiting existing customers on a regular basis to review and maintain existing contracts & relationships. Support customer enquires though various internal departments by managing requests for information/services/product though email or telephone support. Visiting new & existing customer sites to develop new business opportunities within the UK or elsewhere as directed. Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that may arise. Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers. Weekly visit reports and itineraries. Work closely with people at all levels of the organization to improve growth, development and Assessment of sales potential and reporting as necessary. Development of technical presentations. Understands clients' technical needs and support requirements. Review customer requirements through documentation/site visits or on-board ships and help resolve/problem solve technical issues for new and existing products/customers and contracts. Provide appropriate documentation, analysis and progress reporting on information as required. Attendance at exhibitions within the UK and overseas as necessary. Use of company vehicles as required, travel & subsistence are covered by the business. Any other duties as may be appropriate. There is a requirement for the employee to gain UK SC, willingness to hold and maintain UK SC is mandatory in this position.
