Overview

Gaming Project Manager Salary : £40,000 - £50,000 Location : Derby A lot of employers only care about what’s on a CV, focusing just on where you’ve been and what you’ve done. Meanwhile the best workplaces will hire people, not CVs. They’ll look past the bit of paper and at the person you are, seeing not only your experience, but your personality, your creativity and your passion for what you do This isn’t just a team, it’s a family. They often socialize after work, having pizza parties and games nights. First and foremost is the happiness of everyone who works there, it’s team effort and nobody gets left behind. This isn’t a place to work if you’re looking for a stepping stone, or have dreams of a high flying corporate career. These guys genuinely love what they do and they want someone who is going to be all in, using their talents to help the team in any way they can. If you’ve felt out of place in workplaces where people come and go, where you feel you are just a number and where you don’t have a lot in common with the people around you then this could be the place for you. However….you must love gaming These guys are crazy about it (specifically PC gaming) so if you aren’t a gamer you’ll stick out like a sore thumb. It’s a big part of their identity so you need to appreciate the scene. Although the bosses here are as down to earth as you can get (and still very involved in delivery), they still need someone to step in and help translate their requirements to the team of devs, and get projects delivered efficiently. You don’t need to come from a hands-on background, but your leadership experience over the years will help you coordinate the tech team throughout the development lifecycle. You might have worked as a project manager, a studio manager, scrum master or technical lead, or any other role involving working with a team of developers to keep delivery ticking, knowing how to use project management tools such as Jira, Trello etc. They are happy to offer £40k - £50k 25 days holidays plus other benefits like free food, drink, team days etc. If this sounds like this role is the perfect fit for you, pop your CV (ideally with a covering note),or give us a call to get a conversations started about it
