About the role We are looking for fun, enthusiastic and motivated people to bring new ideas and experiences for the people we support. They have a range of learning disabilities and in some cases physical disabilities and you will support them in their favourite activities and pastimes. The individuals love being out and about accessing the community, this could be pubs, dancing, country walks, going on holiday, meal's out or drawing, pampering sessions , Lego, puzzles and having staff to listen to them These are active houses with a total of 14 people supported in two neighbouring properties. Some of the people we support also require help with personal care, dressing and medication. You will also support their emotional needs and find ways to facilitate good communication - not everyone at these services has verbal communication but we provide full Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) coaching. You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. There are around three sleep-ins a month, and shift times are 07:30 to 15:00 and 14:30 to 22:00. The work can be demanding and doesn't suit everyone, but if it's right for you, you'll find it incredibly rewarding and valuable. We will provide you with full training and with day-to-day help and advice from your Head of Service (Frontline Manager). The registered manager and senior team lead by example, promoting the vision and values of the service. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no two days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it’s something you’ll never forget. As long as you have the passion and drive to want to make a real difference, we’ll teach you the rest. With your key attributes and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support. It is essential for these positions that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK , as you will be required to drive service vehicles which includes a small mini bus. Your licence must also be over 12 months old in order to comply with the insurance. Who are we?
