Overview

My client is London is an exciting and fast growing engineering company that specialise in hybrid vehicles. With over 8 years trading, my client is seeking to expand their IT function by bringing onboard an Engineering Team Lead. As a member of the team you will provide line management for a team of engineers whilst also being hands on by creating cloud environments in which to innovate data. You will own the development and delivery of new features in line with the technology roadmap whilst also ensuring requirements for security, design documentation and regulations are well defined within your domain. Responsibilities: Define and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure to support development of the vision Develop new features independently, or by managing 3 rd party providers / contractors, whilst ensuring it can be scaled to 1000's of devices; Own the maintenance, optimisation and development of the telemetry platform, based on the Django Web Framework Create a development and deployment framework that ensures a high quality of work where software is sufficiently tested, validated and released in line with best practice; Contribute to the creation of a long-term technology roadmap Appraise new technology and assess its suitability for application Own the development and delivery of new features in line with the technology roadmap Ensure requirements for security, design documentation and regulations are well defined within your domain, are complied with, updated and maintained; Diagnose the root cause and provide corrective actions for issues experienced Design and development new UI / UX, create novel data visualisation techniques Key Skills: Experience with AWS or similar cloud technology Experience with data visualisation and presentation Experience with the Django framework and javascript The ability to take ownership of problems and sees them through to a conclusion Strong verbal, written, and reasoning skills Bachelors or Masters degree If the aforementioned vacancy is of interest, then do submit an application.
