Overview

We have an opportunity for a Principal Test Analyst to join our Software Development department based at Head Office in central Leeds. The successful candidate will work as part of a large established team delivering customer and colleague facing solutions. You will provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members in relation to automated testing and SDLC best practice. As a Principal Test Analyst you will own the testing approach and tooling for automated functional and non-functional testing. You will be responsible for the automated testing strategy and Chair the Testing Guild. We're looking for previous stakeholder management experience with strong influencing and communication skills. You will have an analytical approach and be able to manage multiple work streams to achieve set deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a leading financial organisation during a period of significant technical change across the industry. Key Criteria The role involves testing a variety of diverse applications at a technical level over a range of different platforms The role holder would be expected to have good proficiency in the following areas: Web services/HTTP/REST, Scripting languages (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, etc), SoapUI, Agile methodologies and automation tools including load testing All levels of test phases (unit, system, integration, acceptance) functional and non-functional Motivational, mentoring and leadership skills Stake holder management and excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to organise, manage and prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met. Strong analytical approach. Good team player, self-motivated, proactive and customer orientated. Ideally educated to degree level and possessing ISEB/ISTQB advanced level or equivalent qualifications Why is Leeds Building Society a great place to work?
