An outstanding opportunity with this Top 100 law firm has become available at the central Leeds office for a defendant EL / PL solicitor. This Defendant Firm is recognised as being a leading legal employer and prides itself on the culture provided to staff. Joining the Casualty Team, you will provide a full service in defending public and employers' liability claims, particularly workplace, public sector and claims against the emergency services. This team is second-to-none in providing defendant litigation services in these specialist areas. This team operates on a national basis with dedicated workplace, public and policy teams. The successful defendant EL / PL solicitor will join an expanding team of highly skilled casualty lawyers in Leeds dealing with the full spectrum of claims including fast- and multi-track claims from local authority and insurance clients, with a particular focus on social services/welfare claims. For this defendant EL / PL solicitor role, experience in handling/assisting on social services/social welfare cases is preferable, along with experience defending litigated claims against local authorities. You will have excellent knowledge of the CPR and litigation and the ability to deal with applications in the country court.
