The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join the Amaris Hospitality team in the role of General Manager. You will be responsible for the effective management of the hotel, ensuring the successful delivery of revenue and guest satisfaction targets by creating a culture of excellence, where team members are trained and committed to consistently delivering high standards of service. We are looking for a General Manager who has a proven track record within a quality, branded hotel environment. Commercial acumen and excellent people management skills are essential to support the team in successfully delivering results. What will I be doing? Providing effective leadership and operational support to the hotel management team to ensure the delivery of targets Directing and guiding the management team through regular communication, including 1:1 meetings and Head of Department meetings Effectively managing property issues, including capital projects, as required Developing and delivering hotel budgets, short term and strategic goals Proactively managing all audit and compliance requirements to ensure standards are achieved Ensuring the effective control of costs through thorough analysis and corrective action on a timely basis Developing managers and team members to encourage succession planning within the hotel and the Company Leading by example and instilling a culture of pride and accountability, rewarding and recognising contributions of the team through engagement activities and events What are we looking for? A Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management/equivalent and/or significant industry experience Strong commercial acumen, with experience in Revenue Management. City Centre experience is advantageous General Management experience in a quality, branded hotel environment Competence in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results In-depth knowledge of the hotel industry, with a proven track record in delivering results in a quality environment as General Manager Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance Drive and resilience Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent planning and organisation skills to ensure deadlines are met consistently What will it be like to work for Amaris Hospitality?
