MR33: Principle Consultant (Transport) Location: Basingstoke Salary: Competitive Overview: First Military Recruitment Recruitment are currently seeking a Principle Consultant to join our transport planning client based in Basingstoke. Applications from ex-military personnel are actively encouraged however, all applicants will be given due consideration. Duties and responsibilities: Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans etc. Junction capacity modelling Mentoring and supporting junior team members Liaise with clients and other stakeholders Attending site visits Skills and qualifications: A good all round knowledge of all aspects of transport planning for developments from initial site appraisal through to transport assessments and an appreciation of traffic engineering solutions. Sound technical experience including familiarity with relevant software e.g. JUNCTIONS 8 and LINSIG; Good presentation and technical writing skills; and A thorough understanding of transport policy and guidance documents, such as NPPF, MfS and DfT Guidance on Transport Assessment. Be degree qualified. Have a good understanding of the principles of transport planning. Good presentation and technical writing skills. The ability to manage their own time to meet project deadlines.
