Due to continued growth and expansion we have a new exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Ellesmere, Shropshire. The company is leading the way in food manufacturing sustainability through their utilisation of combined heat & power (CHP), Reverse osmosis (RO), Heat recovery & optimisation systems and world class maintenance methodologies. Job Title : Assistant Engineering Manager Location : Ellesmere Salary : Competitive Shifts : Monday – Friday 7am – 15.30 Purpose of the role : The Assistant Engineering Manager will work within both the Primal and Site Services areas of the Engineering Department. You will be tasked with managing, analysing, reporting on & optimising the following systems - Steam and hot water boilers, CHP systems, water softening, ammonia refrigeration, sprinklers, fire detection/suppression & waste water so previous working experience within these areas is key. You will also be a key part of driving the state of the art primal processing department towards world class standard. It would also be highly advantageous for you to have had experience or exposure to working within sustainability and Food Manufacturing. Experience of both people and Project Management is essential . The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a Manufacturing environment. You will be looking to progress from your current role having had experience of managing teams and leading shifts in the tasks required. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be a confident communicator and Manager who is looking for a challenge and an opportunity to progress working for an industry leader. You will have a natural foresight to take both the role and team forward and be analytically minded in terms of forward planning for preventative maintenance.
